Workplace Learning Report 2025: United Kingdom
LinkedIn Learning · 2025
Learning & Performance. Four Corners commentary on a source published by LinkedIn Learning.
LinkedIn's UK workplace learning research looks at the relationship between learning, career development and organisational capability.
Key finding / idea
The report identifies only around one-third of UK organisations as mature “career development champions”, organisations with more developed career-development practices.
Why we picked it
We liked this because it broadens the definition of learning. Development isn't necessarily something that happens on a course. Internal mobility, projects, coaching, career conversations and experience can all contribute to how capability develops. That is close to the thinking behind Four Corners: useful learning often happens through experience, reflection and conversation rather than through formal content alone.
A question worth considering
Have we made workplace learning too synonymous with learning programmes?
